Tigerdrops was born from the research of Tadhg Stopford. Inspired by the advocacy of the late Helen Kelly Tadhg Stopford formed the hemp foundation with Dr Ben Jansen in 2016 (-2020)and began educating medical professionals on G Protein Coupled receptors / the endogenous cannabinoid system.

 As part of the enormous research involved in creating nzs first RNZCGP approved course for healthcare professionals, Tadhg also filed eighty six Offical Information Act requests and laid forty two complaints to the Ombudsmans Office regarding the misclassification of Cannabidiol as a controlled drug in 2016.

the result of this was to deny kiwis CBD foods, supplements, and herbal remedies; and to create a pharmaceutical monopoly for CBD products.

This has been the Ombudsman’s longest running investigation since perhaps 2024. Rather than being considered as a whole, It has been divided into a dozen separate investigations which successive Ombudsmen have sought to extinguish in narrow procedural grounds. Despite the evidence clearly demonstrating that the actions taken by the ministry of health appear a clear breach of the ministry of health’s statutory duty; and of the ombudsman’s own statutory duty to protect the interest of the public.
